As a large northern family-run food and drink retailer, Booths takes immense pride in supporting northern producers and stocking their finest foods. This is a real point of difference for us. At least 25% of the products we sell are from our region, and that includes 85% of our meat and 45% of our bread.
Being family-orientated, it’s normal for us to put people at the heart of everything we do. Customers come first, obviously, and the people who work in our stores go out of their way to show that friendly and knowledgeable customer service come as second nature.
In our warehouse, distribution and manufacturing centres, our people are passionate with making sure that the highest quality produce is always available. Similarly, the people who work at our Central Office in Preston go to great lengths to support everyone in the business – just like an extended family.

Training worth having
Everyone gets a formal induction when they join Booths, along with thorough training in their specific area. There’s the chance to work towards a Booths Retail Apprenticeship NVQ Level 2, then Level 3. From there you could get you on the Booths Management Training Programme and into a Foundation Degree in Retail. Some of our best people worked their way up this way.
