How We Do Things At Booths
When Edwin Henry Booth opened his first store in Blackpool in 1847, he had one simple aim: “to sell the best goods available, in attractive stores, with excellent assistants.”
This aim, straight-forward and uncomplicated though it seems, is still at the heart of everything we do. It is what we all work towards and the guiding principle on which the Booths brand is founded.
Booths believes that how we behave and carry on our business, with our customers and with each other, is what makes us different from our competitors and what makes us special.
Our ways of working and beliefs drive our actions and our actions build lasting relationships that we know will translate into business success. Here are our six ways of working and the actions that bring each of them to life:
Humility is all about really listening and always learning from everything we do
Dedication is about owning the things we are involved in and involving those around us in them too
3. Customer Happiness
Customer Happiness is about caring deeply about what we do and understanding what makes us special and different
Authenticity is about the importance of being honest and the courage to stand up for what we believe in
Freedom is about being trusted and using the responsibility this gives each of us to make, take and own the right decisions
Togetherness is about supporting those around us, being mindful that we are treating others as we wish to be treated ourselves
We’ll help you to live these every day and understand how they can make a difference to our customers and our people.. It’s the way we work and it’s the way we want you to work with us. We know that not every employer does things this way, but we do. And we think you’ll love the difference.
