We have an exciting new role to join the HR team as a HR Specialist for retail & Estates to cover a period of maternity leave. You will report to the HRBP Retail & Estates, the position field based and you would be working across all of our stores and with our Estates team located from Preston to Cheshire, the Lakes and into Yorkshire.

The purpose of the role is to support the HRBP for Retail & Estates and the Regional Managers to deliver the people plan and ensure all people managers lead and manage their teams to create engaged colleagues who deliver against business targets.

To support the HRBP for Retail & Estates to implement the People plan so that we create the Booths culture and climate resulting in great employee engagement.

To create strong and positive business partner relationships with the Regional Managers and Store Management teams enabling you to challenge, support and coach them on their thinking, personal leadership, issues and opportunities.

To advise, support and coach the store management teams to ensure they implement current and future employee relations policies and procedures so that these are owned and managed through the line and our colleagues are treated fairly.

To proactively create and manage recruitment campaigns, specifically managing peak trade requirements.

To support the implementation of organisational change and business initiatives (e.g employee surveys and legislative changes etc)

To work in partnership with your peers in HR to drive consistency of approach, best practice and an aligned message.


You need to show us that you have the following:

You will be:

CIPD qualified.

Have a minimum of 5 years generalist HR experience.

Working Knowledge of Microsoft office.

You will be an excellent communicator and be able to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

You will be experienced in managing HR Projects as well as generalist advisory experience.

You will have a full clean driving license
