Overview


This Trading Manager vacancy will initially be based at our Ulverston which is one of the top three for both sales and profit, with a seasonal trade profile it plays a key role in our overall business performance. This vacancy provides the successful candidate an opportunity to showcase their ability by continuing to drive the successful profitable performance of the store. The store is due to be refitted later this year which will also provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to challenge themselves in planning and execution to help ensure the re-fit is delivered successfully.

As a Trading Manager it is your role to ensure that Booths stores are presented as per the customer expectations, protect the brand and ensure execution of any trading initiatives.

As part of the Store Management Team your accountabilities will be to:
Support the Store Manager in being an agent for change, leading from the front and ensuring that changes within the business are understood, bought into and delivered.
Ensure that all behaviors and actions support achievement of balanced score card KPI’s.
Coach, develop, drive and challenge all within the store team in ensuring business success.
Take accountability for other roles within the management team as required always ensuring that store standards are maintained.

A requirement of all our Managers is your ability to travel and work in any store or location to meet the business needs.

Responsibilities


Responsible for presentation of the Booths brand including all POS and marketing materials.
To manage and lead execution of all shop floor changes to include promotion period changeovers and special events.
To ensure replenishment and availability is of the highest possible standard
To maintain and execute the highest standards of shop keeping.
To schedule resources in line with store needs in ensuring a consistently outstanding customer experience
Accountable for back of house operation and management
For your team to manage performance reviews, 1:1’s, Return to Work Interviews and PAR’s
To demonstrate and role model the Booths values.

Requirements


You need to show us that you have the following:

You must be in a management role currently or have 6 months relevant experience of leading a team.

Knowledge
Management level knowledge of food retailing and information
Statutory regulations involved in food retailing
Company information- policies, procedures and structure
General product knowledge
IT systems

Skills
High level of competency in verbal and written communication and engagement
Administration skills, ability to prioritize, organise and continually improve administration processes
Ability to effectively delegate and engage colleagues in delivering tasks
Develop and apply resources, methods systems and procedures in the most effective and efficient way
Problem solving an inbuilt desire to find solutions to problems in store and see that solution through to completion
