Overview

Please note that we can only accept candidates over the age of 18 as the role requires working before 6am and after 9pm.

Shifts required -
Tuesday 10pm-6am
Wednesday 9pm- 6am
Thursday 9pm-6am
Friday 9pm-6am
Saturday 10pm- 7am
Total = 36.75 hours

The additional night allowance is applicable between the hours of 00:00 and 06:00, during this time (excluding 1 hour for lunch break).

You will also be requested to complete a night worker health questionnaire.


And as Team Leader, you'll have responsibility for making sure your department runs smoothly. You'll be looking after a team of General Assistants, making sure they know exactly what they should be doing, where and when – and supporting them to do it to the very best of their skills and abilities.

If you don't already have retail experience, you'll certainly know how to motivate and organise a team to be their best. You'll be able to understand the way we do things at Booths, encouraging your team to do the same and giving them the confidence to take responsibility for their actions. Providing support when needed, always listening, you'll be the kind of manager who can create a sense of togetherness and pride that your team, and our customers, can really feel.

Responsibilities


You will be responsible for the following:

Ensuring that all customers are served in an efficient, friendly and polite manner
Assisting in the planning and co-ordination of promotional and seasonal activities
Co-ordinating all staff activity to ensure daily tasks are prioritised efficiently
Assisting in the induction and training of new joiners and employee appraisals
Effectively coaching and mentoring employees and identify any training needs
Regularly communicating with employees and management to identify any issues
Accurately maintaining all compliance documentation required
Attending regular courses and displaying a flexible approach to learning
Complying fully with food hygiene and health and safety requirements at all times
Helping the store build a strong relationship with the local community

Requirements
